Kenich Lee (born August 17, 1985), better known as simply Black Mattic, is a Jamaican Dancehall and Pop recording artist and songwriter. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Black Mattic moved to the United States at the age of 13 to pursue a recording career with a strong self-motivation to learn the industry. He subsequently formed his own recoding Label Official Hitz Entertainment.
In 2010, Black Mattic released his debut studio album, Hot Grabba, which peaked in the top and features the Spain ITunes top 100 hit single “Never Give Up.” Less than a year later, he released his second single, Girls Anthem, which gave him a new audience and captured the ears of many on all the major social networks. Black Mattic is currently working on his new release titled “Diamond For Life Project”; lead by his new hit single “Superstar”.
Tracks like Walk and Wine, Work Hard, Bosey and Favorite Girl were all released between 2010/11 and have been getting rave reviews in the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and the U.S respectively.
The slick-talking singer said he’s ready to explore the world with his music but would also welcome any other job opportunities such as movie and commercial endorsements, which will, in reality, enhance his image.
Black Mattic knows his musical style is of no comparison. In his latest studio effort, Mattic shows his versatility on the “Diamond For Life Project” set to release mid 2012.
