Yung Mazi
Tattooed with a picture of a rose on one hand and AK-47‟s on another, 6‟3 American rapper, Yung Mazi (real name Jibril A. ) was born in Atlanta, GA and raised on Glenwood Road, just east of the downtown ATL skyline. Yung Mazi‟s reputation in the streets and street-certified‟ music, has been embraced by his city and far beyond the borders of the USA. While his predecessors climbed up the hip-hop and pop charts, Mazi stayed true to his lyrics, living a life most could only dream of. Influenced by his surroundings and extended family, Mazi is one of the most exclusive yet, highly anticipated rap figures in hip hop music. His uncanny ability to translate real life situations and experiences into memorable songs makes Yung Mazi potent in his lyrical ability. Soon after his first single hit the streets of Atlanta in 2009, Yung Mazi created hits with some of the industry‟s hottest artists. With a charismatic and bold marketing appeal, Yung Mazi has not only captured the ears of some of music‟s most respected hit makers, but the interest of mainstream pop culture. Financing his own record label SRT8 Ca$h Records, Yung Mazi‟s movement is one of the solid new faces of authentic swagger in rap music of the future.
D.C.
D.C. is a hip-hop/pop producer, arranger, and performer from Columbia, S.C. by-way-of Washington D.C. He has been emersed in music his whole life- growing up around the industry via the involvment of his father Curtis D. Lowery who has worked with and produced various groups and labels from the 1980′s to the 2000′s. Growing up around this musical environment allowed D.C. to hone and cultivate his hiphop/urban/rnb sound into a refined creative ingenuity, which as his music will prove, can be compared to the likes of the most successful in the music industry. D.C. continued to refine and master his music production skills during his freshman year at the University of South Carolina, nearing the apex of his craft while in his dorm room. Midway into his sophomore year, D.C. went from a being a full-time student to taking part time, online classes in order to spend more time in Atlanta in pursuit of a music career. Soon after that decision- he linked up with Yung Mazi and his SRT8 Ca$H imprint and began living a dual life, short weeks of school & long nights in the ATL which consisted of recording, partying, and networking. Coupling this unique young adult experience and college lifestyle into relevant subject matter- he vows to bring the industry a unique sound- a blend of urban and cosmopolitan culture.
